I have practiced law in the state of California since 1984 and have had a continuous presence in Alameda since 1989.

My clients have access to complete personal, estate, and business planning services through my estate and gift practice. I advise my business clients about protecting and transferring control and ultimate ownership of their personal and business assets.

I assist individual clients in personal estate planning to transfer assets efficiently to their chosen beneficiaries. Planning of this nature often focuses on providing for family members, protecting the assigned assets and ensuring professional management of these assets. Personal estate planning takes into account the impact of federal income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping taxes on the passage of wealth. It frequently means establishing trusts for a surviving spouse, as well as trusts for children and grandchildren, to achieve tax savings. I also use many forms of charitable giving to reduce taxes significantly.

I advise executors and trustees in the administration of estates and trusts, and guide them in all aspects of their responsibilities. I provide advice on income taxation of estates and trusts as well as gift and estate taxation. I represent clients to resolve will and trust disputes. We provide advice to clients who are managing estates and trusts.

In addition to my estate planning services, I also represent clients with general civil conflicts, personal injury claims, civil litigation, business litigation, and criminal cases.
